Our story
About Evergold Pomeranians
We are a small family kennel devoted to the Pomeranian: compact, bright, coated like a cloud, and happiest when they belong to someone.
Why we raise Poms this way
Evergold began after years of living with the breed and seeing too many puppies leave facilities that treated them as inventory. We keep only a few females, plan litters carefully, and raise every puppy in the house.
We did not start Evergold to become a high-volume kennel. We started it because we had lived with Pomeranians long enough to see the gap between a well-bred house puppy and a puppy treated as inventory. Volume hides sloppy matching. A short list of females forces us to choose pairings with care and to raise each litter in the rooms where we already live.
House-raising is not a slogan. It means the whelping box is indoors, the first handling happens during ordinary household hours, and crate naps compete with the sound of a kettle and a door. Puppies meet a small, repeating cast of people before they meet a crowd. They learn that a comb can be boring and safe. They leave knowing a name and a rhythm, not a warehouse aisle.
Honesty is the other half of the work. We will tell you when a merle eye is striking and when a coat will take more brushing than a first-time owner expects. We will tell you when a puppy is bold with toys and when a puppy would be a poor match for a very young child. We will not invent a teacup variety to win a click. If you want a lap companion with bone and bounce, we will help you pick that dog. If you want a guaranteed extreme miniature, we are the wrong kennel.
